3Visa, the TDAC & entry for Israelis

Visa-free: Israelis are entitled to visa-free entry to Thailand for up to 60 days, per the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv. An extension of up to 30 additional days can be requested in-country.

🆕 TDAC — a new requirement from 1.5.2025: you must fill in the Thailand Digital Arrival Card within 3 days before arrival (tdac.immigration.go.th).

Passport validity: at least 6 months from the date of entry is recommended. ETIAS is not relevant to Thailand.

4When to fly

  • Dry season (November–February) ✅ — most of Thailand, recommended.
  • Hot season (March–May) — very hot, less comfortable.
  • Rainy season (June–October) — monsoon, heavy rain.

Important note for the south: Koh Samui and Koh Phangan — the rainy season is later than in Phuket/Krabi. Check by your specific destination.

Recommendation for Israelis: November–February — peak season, excellent weather for all areas.

  • Ko Phi Phi / Ko Phi Phi Le — an island with turquoise water, diving and snorkelling. Ko Phi Phi Le is within Hat Noppharat Thara National Park.

Bangkok

From the airport to Bangkok:

  • DMK Don Mueang — bus: A1/A2: 30 THB / A3/A4: 50 THB.

Within Bangkok: BTS (Skytrain) + MRT (Metro) — a convenient network; taxi + Grab (app) — convenient and inexpensive. Tuk-tuk: agree the price up front — a must!

Domestic flights are common and recommended: Bangkok↔Phuket / Chiang Mai / Krabi / Koh Samui. Ferries are required for Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and some of the islands.
